Recipe of the "Week"

Oooo-eee!  This is another family favorite from Granny's arsenal!  It's sort of like a big ol' brownie that overflows with fudge when you break into it.  And, man alive, this stuff is rich, so don't try to fill up a whole bowl.

Baked Chocolate Pudding


Batter Ingredients:

-1 c. flour
-1/2 tsp. salt
-3/4 c. sugar
-2 tsp. baking powder
-2 ½ T cocoa
-2 T melted butter
-1 tsp. vanilla
-1/2 c. milk
-chopped pecans

Topping Ingredients:

-1/2 c. sugar
-1/2 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
-4 T cocoa

Directions:

-Sift together dry ingredients in a medium bowl.

-Combine wet ingredients in a small bowl.

-Pour wet ingredients over dry & add chopped nuts.

-Pour batter into a greased 9"x5" loaf pan.

-In the now empty small bowl, combine the topping ingredients & sprinkle over the batter.

-Pour 1 c. water over all.

-Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, then serve warm topped with ice cream.
